The study was aimed at increasing teachers' effectiveness in using their time to improve students' achievement. An action research design was employed, involving ten IDT elementary schools, tengrade-six teachers, and 110 grade-six students in Hulu Sungai Selatan on the 1995/1996 school year. After three stages of the action research, teachers' use of time on tasks could be improved, teachers' violation of time on tasks was decreased by 18%, and students' achevement improved by 0,459Downloads
