Profil Kesiapan Masyarakat dalam Menyongsong Wajib Belajar Pendidikan Dasar 9 Tahun di Jawa Timur

Abstract

Several indicators, such as comprehending and opinions of the society, were employed to detect the readiness of the society in facing the compulsory 9-year basic education. The population of this study is people of East Jawa divided into 4 strata, namely surplus area, adequate fertile area, non-fertile area, and nondeveloped area. The contrains faced by the people are among others: their low economics status, and their unawareness of the importance of education.
