Abstract

This article tries to contribute the ideas of concept and synergic action of universities, provincial government, and industries for preparing highly-qualified human resources to face APEC in 2020. None of universities in Indonesia is of the international standard. University graduates are not ready to work; they are just ready for training. The improvement of the nation's competitiveness needs concepts and synergic action of patnership among universities, provincial government, and industries, i.e. the mutually beneficial partnership with "together" principle.
