The Effect of Guitar Play on the Musical Intelligence of Young Children. This quasi- experimental study aims to investigate the effect of guitar play on young children’s musical intelligence. Two groups of kindergarten students, each consisting of eleven students, were involved in the study, one being assigned as a control group learning accompanied with tamborine and the other as an experimental group learning accompanied with guitar. The results of data analysis show that the aver- age score of the experimental group was 88, while that of the control group was 78.9. The result of t-test suggests that there is a significant difference between the two groups, with the guitar group having better musical intelligence.
Pengaruh Iringan Gitar Terhadap Kecerdasan Musikal Siswa Anak Usia Dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh iringan gitar terhadap kecerdasan musikal anak usia dini. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang berbentuk quasy experiment, dan melibatkan siswa Taman kanak kanak Kartika 1-63 Padang, yang terbagi ke dalam klas kontrol (11 siswa) yang belajar dengan iringan tamborin dan klas eksperimen (11 siswa) yang belajar dengan iri- ngan gitar. Instrumen pengukuran kecerdasan musikal telah divalidasi dan reliabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan iringan gitar memperoleh kecerdasan musikal yang lebih tinggi (skor rerata 88,0) dibanding yang diiringi tamborin (skor rerata 78,9).
